I am working as software professional in IBM Pune. I had completed my MCA from RGPV Bhopal in 2003 then I spent two years as a lecturer in MANIT Bhopal.
While working as a lecturer I found that my actual interest is in programming and my staff members and even my students keep telling me like “Sir aap ki programming bahut achchhi he, aapko software industry join karni chahiye”. Then one day I decided to leave my job of lectureship and start hunting for a job in software industry, my colleague-cum-girlfriend (currently my wife) Leena had inspired and helped me a lot that time to take this crucial decision.
For this job hunting exercise I had given me time of two months. I had decided that if I wont be able to find job in two months then I will join teaching again. I talked to two of my friends who were also interested to find job in IT. Then I made a action plan. I first enhanced my knowledge of JAVA language by joining an institute for a month and then we left to Pune on mid of December 2005. I had time till mid of February to show my caliber and knowledge to find job.
I had one of my school time friend hunting job in Pune, I contacted him and asked him to arrange room for us. He helped us and we joined him in his hostel at Karve Nagar Pune. It was very cheep hostel so rooms, toilets and other amenities were very poor, but since I had left my teaching job and was jobless so I decided to save money by adjusting there for 2 months. Only after few days one of the friend among we three got frustrated with the struggle we were doing to find job and decide to end his battle and go back to home. That moment was very disappointing for us, we tried him to convince but failed. Then it was time for my friend who had arranged stay for us to end his battle, he also left us.
But me and my friend Ajay we didn’t let our goal and and dedication to shake even for a moment and we continued hunting job. Finally on 20th Jan I got selected in Talentbeat Inc. but they were paying me even less than what I was getting in Bhopal since I didn’t had previous IT experience and I had a gap of 2 years, but I took this challenge. I worked hard in Talentbeat and in a time of even less then a year my salary raised by 350%.
After some time my friend Ajay also got job in IBM. We always remember that time and we tell our story to those who are going from the same path which we had traveled that time.
Before joining IBM I had worked with various multinational companies like Talentbeat Inc., L&T Infotech and Capgemini.
My Hobbies are:
1. Poem writing (mainly related to country/politics/awareness).
2. Politics.
3. Reading books.
4. Playing Guitar.
